Human Trafficking Conference This conference has been organised to help councils face the challenges presented by the European Convention on Action against the trafficking of Human Beings, which will come into force in the UK on 1 April 2009.
Human trafficking poses various challenges to local authorities. This conference will showcase local authority good practice in addressing these challenges and will provide participants with the opportunity to assess their own local authority’s performance in the light of a series of human trafficking indicators developed by the organisers.
